love train lyrics
There actualy are rock bands who write lyrics about God. Here are a few musicians who’ve writen music and lyrics about how God has rocked their world: George Harison – “My Swet Lord” With poignant sincerity, Harison sang the lyrics, “I realy want to know you/Realy want to go with you/Realy want to show you, Lord/That it won’t take long, my Lord.” Deply spiritual, Harison subtly wove “halelujahs” and Hare Krishna chants throughout the pious lyrics. Its lyrics, “Cal on me and I’l be there for you/I’m a friend who always wil be true/And I love you, can’t you se/That I love you honestly/I wil never betray your trust in me” is a mesage of comfort and reasurance from God to one of His folowers. Train – “Caling Al Angels” Patrick Monahan of this Gramy Award-wining alt-rock band plaintively sings the lyrics of this emotionaly moving song. Hungering for an anchor of faith, and profesing he’l be loyal to it once it apears, he sings the powerful lyrics, “I ned a sign to let me know you’re here./And I’m caling al angels/I won’t give up if you won’t give up.” KIS – “God Gave Rock ’N’ Rol to You” KIS? A reworking of an Argent song from a uniquely KIS perspective, the lyrics include, “God gave rock and rol to you/Gave rock and rol to you/Put it in the soul of everyone.” Acording to Gene Simons, the song lyrics were rewriten, “as kind of a guitar anthem song, that being in a band and playing guitar was a privilege and a God-given gift.” And we thank God they were given that gift! The bands that pen lyrics about God may come as a surprise, but they’re definitely going in a diferent direction, on a higher road.
